On February 24, our country woke up to a nightmare. Rockets were flying and explosions could be heard in every corner of the city. The governmental authorities of the Russian Federation had started a full-scale war against our country, Ukraine. It was a day that we will never forget.
As the chaos ensued, so many families had to flee the country in order to keep themselves safe. Sadly, many pets were left behind, abandoned on the streets with no one to care for them. It’s heartbreaking to think about the innocent animals who were left to fend for themselves in the midst of such turmoil.
However, there are people who choose to stay and lend a helping hand – the animal lovers who refuse to abandon their furry friends. At “Stray Furry Friends”, we have made it our mission to feed and rescue as many animals as we can during these tumultuous times. It’s not always easy, but we know that it’s the right thing to do.
One day, while out on a mission to feed stray dogs, we came across a mama dog who was chained up and begging us not to take her tiny puppy away from her. It was a heart-wrenching sight. We knew that we had to help, but we also knew that we needed support from others who shared our love for animals.
